Thomas Christian

Thomas Christian is an attorney in Dickinson Wright’s Litigation practice, where he focuses on civil litigation with a particular emphasis on government contracts and investigations. Licensed in Michigan, the District of Columbia, and Tennessee, Thomas represents clients across a wide geographic footprint, including large institutions, middle-market companies, and emerging businesses.

In his practice, Thomas handles disputes and investigations involving government contracts, including proceedings before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He also regularly advises clients on internal investigations and when facing government enforcement actions, fraud allegations, and compliance issues. Thomas takes a practical, collaborative approach to problem-solving and often works with clients to resolve matters before they reach trial, including through alternative dispute resolution methods like mediation and settlement negotiations. He also counsels on cross-border regulatory matters, including export controls, economic sanctions, and transactions involving the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), and is helping to expand the firm’s work in these areas.

Historically, at Dickinson Wright, Thomas advised clients on select political law matters involving election law, and nonprofit compliance. Prior to joining the firm, he clerked for Judge Edward H. Meyers at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. His prior experience also includes practicing at a prominent Washington, D.C. law firm and working within the U.S. Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense.
