Thomas Christian Selected as a 2026 Michigan Political Leadership Program Fellow

Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Thomas Christian (Associate, Grand Rapids) has been selected as a 2026 Michigan Political Leadership Program (MPLP) Fellow.

“I’m excited to be a part of the upcoming 2026 class of Michigan Political Leadership Program Fellows,” said Thomas. “MPLP will give me an opportunity to continue to bridge political divides in a bipartisan learning environment, bringing what I learn back to my community. I want to thank Dickinson Wright Member Charlie Spies and Michigan State Senator Mark Huienzga (R-MI 30th District) for their recommendations of my fellowship.”

Since 1992, the MPLP has recruited, trained, and inspired public policy leaders, offering them the vision, commitment and skills necessary to govern effectively. In a bipartisan learning environment, a diverse group of 24 individuals from across the state engage in public policy and leadership curriculum. Thomas is an attorney in Dickinson Wright’s Litigation practice, where he focuses on civil litigation with a particular emphasis on government contracts and investigations. Licensed in Michigan, the District of Columbia, and Tennessee, Thomas represents clients across a wide geographic footprint, including large institutions, middle-market companies, and emerging businesses. Prior to joining the firm, he clerked for Judge Edward H. Meyers at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. His prior experience also includes practicing at a prominent Washington, D.C. law firm and working within the U.S. Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense. Thomas is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School, Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
