    Overview

    Dave Davidson is a Board-Certified health law attorney in Dickinson Wright’s Fort Lauderdale office with more than 30 years of experience representing healthcare professionals and businesses. His clients include hospitals, physician groups, surgery and imaging centers, healthcare management companies, home health agencies, hospices, and other healthcare businesses.

    Dave advises clients on healthcare transactions and regulatory matters involving the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, fraud and abuse, and compliance. He also regularly serves as outside general counsel to healthcare providers, assisting with business agreements, acquisitions and sales, licensing matters, and day-to-day regulatory issues.

    Experience

    • Advises healthcare providers on acquisitions, sales, and other transactions, including the sale of physician practices and the acquisition of home health agencies
    • Represents healthcare providers before Florida licensing boards and advises on regulatory and compliance matters
    • Advised a rural Florida hospital in evaluating and negotiating the lease of its facility
    • Counsels healthcare businesses on regulatory matters
    • Assists with the development of health care technology, innovations, and other intellectual property
    • Drafts and negotiates business agreements for healthcare providers and frequently serves as outside general counsel
    • Serves as Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Oregon on behalf of Dickinson Wright, working with other firm attorneys
