    Overview

    David Davidson is a Board Certified health law attorney in Dickinson Wright’s Fort Lauderdale office. He has over 30 years of experience assisting healthcare professionals and businesses, including hospitals, physician group practices, surgery and imaging centers, and health care business management entities. He is also involved in numerous healthcare transactions and provides advice concerning regulatory matters including the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, fraud and abuse, and compliance issues.

    Experience

    • Retained by a company that patented a new cryotherapy instrument, and will assist in seeking capital and providing advice through the regulatory process.
    • Retained by a durable medical equipment provider to handle their regulatory matters.
    • Recently retained by a rural Florida hospital to help identify and negotiate the sale or lease of the facility.
    • Retained by a large regional home health provider to assist in procuring new agencies.
    • Regularly represent healthcare providers in the sale of their practices.
    • Serve as Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Oregon on behalf of Dickinson Wright, along with other Dickinson Wright attorneys.
    • Provide regulatory input on healthcare transactions.
    • Draft and negotiate business agreements on behalf of healthcare providers.
    • Regularly represent licensed healthcare providers before Florida licensing boards.
    • Frequently serve as outside general counsel to healthcare providers.
