Our Team

Members of our South Korean practice have served as lead counsel in cases in Federal district courts throughout the country, in the ITC, in the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, and in state courts in Michigan, Arizona, Texas, California, Nevada, Illinois, Washington, Colorado and Georgia, and have provided strategic counseling in cases in the European Union, Canada, and Asia. Further, they frequently travel to Asia to support the direct management of Intellectual Property (IP) in the automotive, medical device, and consumer products industries.

• Negotiated the license between a global licensing entity and a major Asian technology company related to standard 5G and LTE patents.

• Represented an Asian pharmaceutical company in a Hatch-Waxman action over an ANDA filing concerning bendamustine hydrochloride used in the treatment of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

만성 림프구성 백혈병 치료제인 벤다무스틴 염산염(bendamustine hydrochloride)의 약품 허가 신청(ANDA)과 관련하여 발생한 Hatch-Waxman 소송에서 아시아 제약 회사를 대리했습니다.

• Provided strategic counsel regarding patent portfolio evaluation, monetization, licensing, patent reexamination and inter partes review proceedings, and patent acquisition to clients in Korea.

한국 기업 고객들을 대상으로 특허 포트폴리오 평가, 수익화(monetization), 라이선싱, 특허 재심사(reexamination) 및 당사자 대립계 심판(IPR, Inter Partes Review) 절차, 특허 매입에 관한 전략적 자문을 제공했습니다.

• Advised the parties regarding intellectual property issues during the negotiation of the United States-Korea Free Trade Agreement and providing seminars and lectures on American intellectual property law to judges and patent examiners of the Korean Intellectual Property Office and the Korean Innovators Forum.
