    Overview

    Sharaé Williams is a member in the firm’s Litigation Division. She practices in the areas of complex business litigation and intellectual property. Sharaé received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and her law degree from Wayne State University Law School. Sharaé began her career with Dickinson Wright PLLC by joining the firm as a Summer Associate in back-to-back years during 2016 and 2017. Sharaé’s ultimate goal is to utilize her wide range of skills and knowledge to provide effective legal counsel and achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.

    Experience

    • Secured a transfer of venue from C.D. Cal to D.N.J. in patent infringement action
    • Helped secure dismissal of two utility patents related to a heated hairbrush in parallel patent infringement actions pending in C.D. Cal and D.N.J
    • Helped secure full dismissal of patent infringement claims filed in Western District of Texas against parent and subsidiary entities regarding patents relating to gaming software
    • Drafted appellate brief in proceedings before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit
    • Participated in trademark federal registration prosecution, including drafting U.S. trademark applications, responding to trademark office actions from the United States Patents and Trademark Office (USPTO), and renewing federal trademark applications
    • Obtained partial summary disposition in employment discrimination action pending in Michigan state court
