David S. Becker

David Becker is an intellectual property and commercial litigator who represents clients in patent, trademark, and copyright infringement, false advertising, trade secret, and non-compete and non-solicitation disputes. His clients include consumer-products manufacturers, technology companies, retailers, financial-services providers, and start-ups.

David also handles complex commercial disputes involving contracts, consumer class actions, employment, business torts, securities disputes, healthcare payor-provider relationships, real estate, and product liability. He represents clients in jury and bench trials, arbitrations, and proceedings in federal and state courts nationwide and before the U.S. International Trade Commission.

• Served as trial counsel for a consumer products company in trademark, copyright, and false advertising litigation through trial, obtaining a favorable jury verdict and $1 million award
• Served as lead trial counsel in an ADEA collective action for a global manufacturer, obtaining summary judgment on all age discrimination claims
• Served as trial counsel in an ITC hearing involving patent infringement claims for automotive parts, resulting in a favorable settlement at the close of the presentation of evidence
• Represented a private equity client in a 13-day securities fraud jury trial, resulting in a $5 million recovery
• Represented a large national bank in a fraud action against a software vendor, obtaining a $3.4 million recovery of licensing fees and other costs
• Served as national coordinating counsel for payor-provider disputes involving a national network of government-sponsored managed-care organizations
• Served as national-coordinating counsel for product-liability claims for manufacturers of exercise equipment and bicycles.
