    Overview

    Andrea L. Arndt is a member in Dickinson Wright’s Austin office who advises companies—from startups to global organizations—on building, managing, and enforcing intellectual property portfolios. She works across a range of technologies, including medical devices, software, gaming, industrial and consumer products, and e-commerce platforms, helping clients align their IP strategy with broader business goals.

    Andrea has extensive experience handling global portfolios and cross-border matters, including prosecution, branding, licensing, transactions, and enforcement in numerous jurisdictions. She also represents clients in post-grant proceedings and litigation, and regularly advises on due diligence, freedom-to-operate analyses, and the commercialization of IP assets.

    Experience

    • Advises companies on global intellectual property strategy, including patent, trademark, and copyright portfolio development, enforcement, and commercialization
    • Represents clients in post-grant proceedings such as inter partes reviews and reexaminations, helping manage litigation risk
    • Developed strategies to combat counterfeit products online, resulting in the removal of infringing listings and the protection of client brands
    • Counseled clients on IP aspects of transactions, including portfolio acquisitions and rebranding initiatives
    • Represents clients in complex IP disputes involving a range of technologies, from software platforms to industrial and consumer products
