    Amelia P. Livingway is an attorney at Dickinson Wright PLLC, where she focuses on public finance, serving as bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel in various transactions for state and local governments, authorities, drainage districts, school districts, lake level special assessment districts, and other public entities. Her practice includes advising clients on tax-exempt bond financings, economic development and tax increment revenue projects, school state aid notes, securities disclosure, special assessments, and post-issuance tax compliance.

    Before joining Dickinson Wright, Amelia gained experience in public finance investment banking with PNC Capital Markets and Robert W. Baird & Co., as well as bankruptcy law through Lakeshore Legal Aid, giving her a unique perspective on both the legal and financial aspects of complex public sector transactions.

    Experience

    • Bond counsel to the County of Grand Traverse in the issuance of $29,580,000 of limited tax general obligation bonds to fund improvements to the County’s La Franier Campus.
    • Bond counsel to the City of Port Huron in the issuance of $11,780,000 of revenue bonds to fund improvements to the City’s sewage disposal system.
    • Underwriter’s counsel in the Northwest Regional Airport Authority’s issuance of its $47,800,000 airport revenue bonds for the Cherry Capital Airport.
    • Bond counsel to the Emmons Lake Drain Drainage District in connection with the issuance of $1,765,000 drain bonds for the maintenance and improvement of the Emmons Lake Drain in the County of Kent.
