Jonathan Wachs was quoted this week in the Baltimore Business Journal article “Maryland to Award 31 More Cannabis Business Licenses.”  Jonathan addressed the concern that MCA regulations around ownership intended to ensure applicants have full control over the business make it difficult for cannabis businesses to attract investment. Investors cannot exercise veto power over large business decisions, for example, “The MCA has a difficult job of making sure that the industry is equitable but also there’s meaningful opportunities for profitability,” Wachs said.
