Kathleen Campbell Walker Authors Study on Effects of Eliminating NAFTA

Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Kathleen Campbell Walker, member partner in our El Paso office and a former national president of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), has authored the study, “NAFTA TN and E Visas Support U.S. Consumers, Investment and Jobs,” for the National Foundation for American Policy.

“If NAFTA were to end, both the TN and E visas would become unavailable,” writes Walker. “That means the end of the NAFTA-connected jobs, health and consumer benefits Americans now enjoy.” Click here to read the full study.

Ms. Walker was national president of AILA from 2007 to 2008 and in 2014 was recipient of the AILA Founder’s Award, which is awarded to the person or entity making the most substantial impact on the field of immigration law or policy in the preceding period (est. 1950). She currently continues to serve on AILA’s Board of Governors as well as its national Business Immigration Response Team and Customs and Border Protection liaison committee. She is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has testified before Congress on matters of immigration policy and border security. She has practiced business immigration law for more than thirty years and is one of 11 lawyers in the United States ranked in Band One by the Chambers and Partners independent lawyer ranking service in its Global Guide.
