Sara Jodka Named to National Law Journal’s 2022 Employment Law Trailblazers List

Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Sara Jodka, CIPP-US and CIPP-E and Member in the firm’s Columbus office, has been named to the National Law Journal’s list of Employment Law Trailblazers.

Sara was selected for the list in part for her significant privacy work in the employment law field. This work includes counseling to ensure that employers understand their obligations with respect to employee privacy, such as workplace monitoring through computers, smart devices, GPS, drug testing, etc.; responding to employee-driven data breaches; and preparing employers for the new plethora of international and domestic privacy laws that provide employees data subject rights to their employment information.  Sara is a dual-licensed privacy attorney, chair of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section, and Editor of the firm’s labor and employment blog, All Things HR.

“I am truly honored to be selected by the National Law Journal as a trailblazer in Employment Law, especially since it overlaps with my privacy work,” said Sara.

The National Law Journal recognizes professionals who have moved the needle in the legal industry. Sara has spent much of her time leading others, helping them blaze trails and finding their way in the legal industry. Sara is one of a small number of licensed attorneys in the United States with dual privacy certifications for the US and Europe from the International Association of Privacy Professionals and she is currently finishing her Data Privacy and Cybersecurity studies at Cornell Law.
