Dickinson Wright Receives Two "Best in Class: Law" Honors from Crain's Detroit Business

Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that the firm received two “Best in Class: Law” Honors from Crain’s Detroit Business.

Dickinson Wright Attorneys Thomas McNeill and Benjamin Sobczak were recognized with the “Business Litigation of the Year” honor for their work in USM Holdings Inc. and Wynnchurch Capital v. Brian Simon. Dickinson Wright represented Mr. Simon and another shareholder in the breach of contract case that was filed in U.S. District Court in Detroit. After several motions and maneuvering, the judge dismissed the case and its claims. An additional lawsuit was filed in Macomb County Circuit Court. In that case, the parties reached a settlement earlier this year.

Dickinson Wright Attorney Ariana Pellegrino was named “Nonpartner Associate of the Year” for her work as a litigator on a labor and employment case. Ms. Pellegrino at the last minute had to fill in for lead counsel in a Michigan Court of Appeals hearing. She composed herself and was able to argue the case on behalf of the client in front of the panel, which ruled in favor of our client. Ms. Pellegrino is an Associate in Dickinson Wright’s Troy office where she represents clients in a variety of areas, including commercial real estate, non-compete and anti-solicitation agreements, shareholder disputes, employment discrimination, and intellectual property litigation.
