ROBERT H. BAKER

Robert Baker represents insurance carriers in matters involving personal and commercial policies including first-party property and contract claims, bad faith litigation, and other extra-contractual litigation.

Robert also has experience defending insured individuals and entities in personal injury actions, including premises owners in slip and trip and fall cases and trucking companies in automobile collision cases. Robert’s practice also includes defending products liability actions resulting from personal injuries and deaths from machinery and manufactured products.

Robert has first-hand trial experience and has obtained summary judgments in district courts.

Representative Experience

  • Obtained summary judgment for commercial premises owner in trip and fall action in Dallas County wherein Plaintiff claimed a multitude of damages, including business losses and treble damages
  • Obtained summary judgment for upscale residential premises owner in property damage action in Dallas County involving claims of fraud and negligent hiring and retention
  • Obtained defense verdict for Fortune 500 company in products liability action in Dallas County
  • Texas discovery counsel for a Fortune 100 company in mass tort litigation involving numerous products and exposure to asbestos, silica or other hazardous substances
