Kevin Reed
Kevin A. Reed is one of Texas’ leading health care lawyers. He focuses his practice primarily on hospitals and hospital districts. Kevin also assists physicians and other medical staff in disciplinary and other review hearings.
Representative Experience
- Represented numerous hospitals in all transactional aspects of their sale or lease to larger hospital systems
- Represented numerous hospitals and hospital districts in the financing and construction of their new hospital facilities
- Represented numerous hospitals in the formation of a new hospital district
- Represented numerous hospitals and hospital districts with bond financing
- Represented numerous hospitals in their acquisition or lease of various health care facilities
- Represented 200+ physician practice in the purchase of medical office buildings and their joint venture with a real estate venture for the construction of new medical office facilities
- Represented one of Texas’ largest multi-facility hospital systems in drafting and implementing their joint medical staff bylaws
- Served as hearing officer in numerous medical staff review hearings, and represented numerous hospital clients in various aspects of the fair hearing and physician credentialing processes
- Provides general counsel services, including negotiating and drafting contracts, advising on regulatory matters, medical staff matters, and other operational matters
