Frances Hamermesh

Frances Hamermesh is part of the long term care and retirement housing practice group at Davis & Wilkerson. She also represents clients as part of the health law and business services-real estate practice groups.

Representative Experience

  • Represented two CCRCs defending against complaints of housing discrimination on the basis of disability
  • Represented borrowers in a variety of transactions to build and to renovate senior living facilities and charter schools
  • Performed legal audits for senior housing providers
  • Developed and reviewed admission agreements and policies for CCRCs, assisted living and nursing facilities
  • Represented CCRCs in negotiations with the Texas Department of Insurance with regard to certificate of authority issues
